Romania does not currently require COVID-19 testing, vaccination proof, or quarantine for travelers. However, regulations can change, so we strongly recommend checking for updates before your departure.

ILN Travel & Safety Guidelines

By registering for the ILN Bucharest Conference, you agree to abide by the following guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for all attendees:

Health & Safety: If you feel unwell or exhibit any symptoms of illness, we ask that you refrain from attending conference sessions or social events.
Respecting Others: Some attendees may prefer to avoid close physical contact, such as handshakes or hugs. Please be mindful of personal preferences regarding social distancing.
• Hygiene Practices: Regular hand washing and use of hand sanitizers are encouraged throughout the event.
• Digital Materials: As part of our sustainability efforts, all conference materials will be available digitally via the ILN Conference App—no printed materials will be provided.

Visa & Entry Requirements for Romania

Most travelers, including those from the EU, US, UK, Canada, and Australia, do not require a visa for short stays of up to 90 days in Romania. However, please check with your country's embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date entry requirements.

Future Travel Advisory for U.S. Citizens: ETIAS Requirement

Starting in late 2026, U.S. citizens traveling to Romania and other Schengen Area countries will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) before departure. While ETIAS is not yet required for this conference, we encourage you to stay informed by visiting the official ETIAS website: https://travel-europe.europa.eu/etias

Venue & Local Precautions
• Hotel Check-In/Check-Out: The official check-in time at The Marmorosch Hotel is 3:00 PM, and check-out is 12:00 PM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Health & Safety at the Venue: The conference venue follows all current Romanian health and safety regulations. Hotel and venue staff may continue to implement enhanced cleaning protocols.
Food & Beverage: Meals will be served in accordance with local health regulations.
