Countdown to the ILN 2025 European Conference!
About the 2025 ILN European Conference
International Lawyers Network - Where Lawyers Become Friends
Thank you for coming to learn about the International Lawyers Network (ILN) and our 2025 European Conference. We are the Network "where lawyers become friends." This tagline may seem extremely friendly and social for a group of serious professionals, but underlying the idea of "friendship" is the belief that there is no greater risk that a lawyer can take than referring their client to another lawyer. We help minimize that risk by facilitating the relationships among our firms and their members and assisting you in developing trust in each other that allows you to know that when you refer business to one another, the lawyer on the other end of the line will treat your client with the same care and concern that you do.
Our 2025 European Conference
We're excited to be together in 2025. We have adapted to modern times as an organization. So while some things will be the same as always (like ILN friendships!), some things look a little different. We are here to guide you through any questions you may have and remain the same, warm, connected organization that we always have been. Please see below for some answers to some of the questions that you may have. Please note the deadline to register is April 29, 2025!

What are your terms and conditions?
We recommend that each delegate takes out appropriate insurance to protect themselves and their firm against financial loss should an unforeseen circumstance prevent them from attending a conference. For the avoidance of doubt, unforeseen circumstances include acts or regulations of public authorities, labour difficulties or strikes, inclement weather, epidemic, and acts of God. Any unpaid fees will still be due in accordance with the above policy. The conference hotel's own cancellation policy applies to any rooms booked. By registering for this event, the delegate acknowledges their responsibility to have adequate insurance (including medical) for themselves and accompanying persons. The International Lawyers Network, Inc and/or Dynamic Conferences and Events Ltd. are not liable for any damages caused by or to the delegate and guest or personal injury nor loss of personal possessions suffered by the delegate (and guest) whilst they take part in this conference programme. Personal expenditures, such as mini-bars, phone use, room service etc. by delegates and/or accompanying guests can be charged to your room account and are at the expense of the individual. Your room account must be settled on the day of your departure.
Will we get conference documents when we check-in?
No. To cut down on paper, we are paperless for all conferences. You will have access to all of the conference materials through the app, where you can connect with attendees, see the agendas, and download any associated documents. Every delegate and companion will still get a physical name tag.
What is the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Conference?
We continue to monitor the situation closely and always keep the health & safety of our member firms of paramount importance. Our friends and colleagues from Ukraine have our complete support. We currently plan to move forward with the conference.
What are the visa requirements for the Romania?
Delegates are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.
Visa requirements for Romania depend on your nationality and length of stay.
Visa-Exempt Travelers: Citizens of the United States, Canada, the European Union, the UK, and several other countries can enter Romania visa-free for short stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period.
Schengen Visa Holders: Romania joined the Schengen Area in 2024 for air and sea travel, and land border checks will be removed by December 2024. If you hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, you may use it to enter Romania.
Future ETIAS Requirement (Starting Late 2026): While ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) will be required for U.S. and other visa-exempt travelers in the future, it is not yet in effect and will not be needed for the 2025 conference.
For the most up-to-date visa requirements, check with your local Romanian embassy or consulate or visit the official Romanian government website for entry regulations.

How do I get from the airport to The Marmorosch Bucharest?
Delegates traveling to Henri Coandă International Airport (OTP) can reach The Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection using several convenient transportation options. The hotel is approximately 18 km (11 miles) from the airport, with a travel time of around 30–40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Recommended Transportation Options:
Taxi or Ride-Share:
Taxis are available at the designated taxi ranks outside the arrivals terminal. Ride-sharing services like Bolt and Uber also operate from the airport, providing a reliable and cost-effective option for direct transport to the hotel.
Public Transportation:
Express Bus (Line 783 or 784): These buses connect the airport to the city center, running frequently throughout the day. Delegates can take either bus and get off at Universitate Square, which is a short walk from the hotel.
Train + Metro: A train runs from Henri Coandă Airport to Gara de Nord (Bucharest’s main train station), where travelers can transfer to the M1 metro line and reach the Universitate or Unirii metro stations, both within walking distance of The Marmorosch Bucharest.
Rental Car:
For those who prefer flexibility, car rental services are available at the airport. The drive to the hotel is straightforward via DN1/E60 and follows major city roads. However, parking in central Bucharest can be limited.

What is the best way to travel within Bucharest?
Getting around Bucharest is relatively easy, with multiple transportation options available to suit different preferences and budgets. Here are some of the best ways to navigate the city:
Public Transportation: Bucharest has an efficient and affordable public transport system, including buses, trams, trolleybuses, and the metro (subway). The metro is the fastest and most reliable way to travel longer distances, with four lines connecting key parts of the city. Buses and trams cover extensive routes but can be slower due to traffic. Tickets can be purchased via the STB mobile app or at kiosks near stations.
Ride-Sharing Services & Taxis: Uber, Bolt, and Free Now operate in Bucharest, offering convenient and reasonably priced ride-sharing options. Licensed taxis are also available, but it's best to use ride-hailing apps to avoid overcharging.
Walking: Many central areas, such as the Old Town, Victoriei Avenue, and parks like Cișmigiu and Herăstrău, are best explored on foot. The city’s mix of historic and modern architecture makes for an enjoyable stroll.
Biking & Scooters: While Bucharest isn’t the most bike-friendly city, bike-sharing and electric scooters (such as Lime and Bolt) are available for short-distance travel. Be mindful of traffic and pedestrian areas.
Car Rental: Renting a car is an option for those looking to explore beyond the city, such as day trips to Transylvania or the Black Sea coast. However, traffic congestion and limited parking in central areas make it less convenient for getting around Bucharest itself.
Train & Long-Distance Buses: If you plan to travel outside the city, the main train station (Gara de Nord) connects Bucharest to other Romanian cities, while long-distance buses operate from multiple terminals.
For most visitors, a combination of the metro, ride-sharing, and walking offers the best balance of convenience, cost, and ease while exploring Bucharest.
